Our Swan Camper Trailer, otherwise known as Barb, allows you to tow small but live large, with plenty of space for relaxing.

She sleeps six, contains innerspring mattresses for a restful nights sleep, quality appliances for cooking and enough storage for your essentials.

She’s simple to set up and comes with a roof rack for those of you that want to holiday with your kayaks.

What documents do I need to provide to book?

In order to secure your booking you will need to complete the last two pages of the ‘Terms and Conditions’ and provide a copy of your driver’s licence.

When do I need to pay the balance?

The balance is due in full 14 days before you collect the caravan or camper trailer.

How much deposit do I need to pay to secure a booking?

You will need to pay 25% of the cost of the booking.

How much does it cost to hire the caravan or camper trailer?

The cost of our vans outside school holidays is $100 per day, or $120 per day during school holidays.

Do the caravan and camper trailer include a fridge?

Yes, they both come fitted with a 3-way fridge/freezer that runs on electric or gas.

Do the caravan and camper trailer include a battery?

Yes, they both come fitted with a 100 amp deep cycle battery.

Do the caravan and camper trailer have water tanks?

Yes, they both come fitted with an 82 litre underfloor water tank.

I’ve never hired a caravan or camper trailer before, what do I need to know?

Don’t worry, we will give you a full demonstration of how to put up and down the caravan or camper trailer on collection. We also send you videos prior to collection and have a full instruction manual in the vans in case you forget. We are also always available and happy to help if you need to ask further questions on 0434 871950 (Helen) or 0434 869196 (Nick).

Do you have any other camping equipment that I could hire to go with the caravan or camper trailer?

Yes, our years of experience travelling mean we have everything you might need, from camping furniture to a generator and solar panels. See the Accessories for hire page for a complete list and costs.

What kitchen equipment is included in the hire?

The caravan and camper trailer contain crockery and cutlery for 6, pans, utensils, kettle (Electric and hob) and toaster.

Can I take the caravan or camper trailer off road?

The caravan and camper trailer are designed and built to go on sealed bitumen roads. Taking them off-road may forfeit some or all of your bond.

Do I need to clean the caravan or camper trailer before I return it?

Yes, the caravan or camper trailer should be returned in the same condition they were taken. If extra cleaning is required after the caravan or camper trailer is returned, the cost will be deducted from your bond.

Can I smoke in the caravan or camper trailer?

No. We don’t allow smoking in the caravan or camper trailer as we would like to keep them in excellent condition for all our customers.

Can I take my pet in the caravan or camper trailer?

No. We don’t allow pets in the caravan or camper trailer as we would like to keep them in excellent condition for all our customers.

When will I get my bond back?

We will give you back your bond within three (3) days of the caravan or camper trailer being returned undamaged and in a clean and tidy condition, inside and out.

When do I need to pay the bond?

The bond needs to be paid 7 days before you collect the caravan or camper trailer.

How much is the bond and what does it cover?

The bond is $1,000. See the Terms and conditions below for a list of what the bond will cover.

Do the caravan and camper trailer have awning walls?

Yes. If you would like to hire them, the cost is $50 per hire.

Is there any reason the insurance wouldn’t cover me?

Who pays for the insurance of the caravan or camper trailer while it is on hire?

When you hire our caravan or camper trailer we pay the insurance cover. Our vans have full comprehensive and public liability insurance, however you are required to have comprehensive insurance for the towing vehicle listed on the Terms and Conditions. Your personal items are not covered on the caravan or camper trailer insurance. If you have an accident you will need to pay the excess of $500.

How old do I have to be to hire your caravan or camper trailer?

The minimum age to hire and of the driver is 25.

Do I need a brake controller on my car whilst towing the caravan or camper trailer?

Yes. If you don’t have electric brakes fitted to your car you can hire a portable electric breaking kit from us for $50 per hire.

What size car do I need to tow the caravan or camper trailer?

The caravan weighs 1,267 kilos unloaded and has a tow ball weight of 145 kilos. To allow for the weight of the contents you need to make sure that your car can tow 1,600 kilos and has a tow ball weight capacity of 145 kilos.

The camper trailer weighs 1,300kg unloaded and has a tow ball weight of 130 kilos. To allow for the weight of the contents you need to make sure that your car can tow 1,600 kilos and has a tow ball weight capacity of 130 kilos.

Can I extend the rental during the hire period?

We will make every effort to accommodate an extension to your hire if the caravan or camper trailer is available.
